multi-medial concepts

  • When the ancient phoenicians first invented written words carving hieroglyphs in stone, people compained anxiously - this would lead to changes concerning their memory on what was common knowledge at their time. No one would keep telling stories by their mouth.
  • When Gutenberg invented letterpress, rants went on in the same way  - who would be interpreting what was common knowledge now?
  • Hearing the first words via radio, a large discussion started about who would still need to read.
  • And concerning TV - well, by now, we all know that at least video didn't kill the radio star. Maybe MP3 will.

The point is - since ancient times, every new media didn't replace any of the older ones, they just added and endorsed each other. What is why we live in a really multi-medial environment nowadays. And no, "multimedia" is not a word for anything blinking and blaring stored on a cd-rom.  At least,  this should not be sort of a definition for this buzz-word, although it might have been reffered to you  this way one time or the other.

contacting customers on the internet

So what you need to promote a website nowadays is a multi-medial conception based on identifying elements for print, tv, and online, referring to brochures, news ads as well as screen commercials - depending on the focal points of the audience you want to reach.

This is where I can come in. I'd like to assist you to develop content that can be identified wherever people find it - on the net, in a magazine or in one of your  company's brochures. If you want, as well in radio and tv spots.

Contacting customers isn't a special task for the internet. It can easier here, but just a company website alone is not the tool. In print and broadcasting media, you can rise someone's couriosity. On your website, you can involve them.
